A faucet is not just about color
A bathroom faucet in daily use will show very quickly whether it is selected correctly or not. If the nose is short, the water falls close to the wall of the bowl; If it is too high, it can spill around. Even a beautiful faucet is inconvenient at the wrong installation site.
The right choice starts with the shape, height and depth of the towel. Then check the type of installation: stand-alone, tall, built-in wall or shower mixer.
Hand towel faucet and bowl matching
The faucet of the towel should bring water to the working area of the bowl. The stream should not fall too close to the back wall or outside the bowl. A high-standing toilet often requires a tall toilet mixer, while a low-mounted bowl will fit a standard faucet.
If the towel is small, an excessively large faucet is visually heavy and spills water easily. A large bowl is inconvenient with a very small faucet. Therefore, a good selection is made by comparing the actual sizes.
Shower mixer and built-in system
When choosing a shower mixer, it is important how many outlets you need: overhead shower, hand shower, bathtub faucet or hygienic shower. The built-in system is visually clean, but requires precise planning at the installation stage.
If the wall is already lined, it is difficult to change the built-in system. Therefore, the collection, color and function should be decided at the beginning of the renovation. For a finished bathroom, surface-mount models are often a simpler solution.
Color, coating and maintenance
The chrome faucet is universal and easy to maintain. The black color creates a clear line, but water spots are more visible. Golden or brushed metal suits a warm interior, but requires combination with other details.
During maintenance, strong abrasives and rough sponges damage the coating. If the water in the bathroom is hard, regular soft cleaning will keep the appearance of the faucet for a long time.
